Volunteering

The UW Internal Medicine Residency Program encourages our residents to volunteer in our communities, and seeks to remove barriers to resident volunteering. Volunteering is an important way to revive that passion that brought many of our residents in medicine in the first place. Importantly, it allows us to serve the communities that help train our resident physicians.

We encourage our residents to volunteer in established, longitudinal volunteer programs based on community-driven needs assessments. Given this, we encourage our residents to volunteer with the UW School of Medicine medical student run free clinics, and support their longitudinal efforts.
