UW Medicine’s brand is what distinguishes us from other health systems. It is the promise of outstanding care that we make to our patients every day, and it is a source of great pride for our faculty, staff, students and trainees. As UW Medicine’s CEO Paul Ramsey says, “Our brand is our reputation and our identity. It reflects the best of everything we offer.” 

A powerful brand is also a lasting impression. Based on recent focus groups and market research, I am pleased to say that UW Medicine’s key differentiator in our region is unchanged. We offer “a higher degree of healthcare” because our clinical system is directly connected to a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research enterprise.

We continually strengthen the public perception of our brand through our mission to improve the health of the public and through the excellence of our clinical care, teaching and research. We can also strengthen our brand identity by following consistent stylistic and graphic standards in our written and visual communications.
