Wearing and sharing the UW Medicine logo
Creating UW Medicine-branded apparel and swag is a fantastic way to showcase our identity while maintaining a professional, unified look. Whether for staff uniforms or event promotion, it’s essential to follow these guidelines to ensure accurate and consistent representations of our brand.
Key Guidelines:
- Logo Placement: Use the primary UW Medicine logo as the default logo. Place the logo on the left chest area for shirts, jackets and lab coats unless space constraints require an alternative location.
- Sizing: Ensure the logo is clearly legible, respecting minimum size requirements of 1 inch in width for print.
- Colors: Use approved brand colors (purple, gold, black, and white). Do not alter the logo’s colors or apply unauthorized filters or effects.
- Clear Space: Maintain proper clear space around the logo to ensure visual clarity and separation from other elements. This space should equal the height of the “M” in the logo.
- Font Consistency: Any text added, such as department names, must follow the UW Medicine brand fonts (e.g., Encode Sans or approved alternatives).
Partner and Vendor Requirements
To ensure high-quality and compliant designs, you are required to use approved vendors for producing UW Medicine-branded apparel. Vendors must adhere to logo placement, size, and color guidelines as outlined in UW Medicine’s brand standards.
Please visit the UW’s ordering UW-branded products page to find approved vendors.
