Representing WWAMI’s Mission Across Five States
The UW School of Medicine’s WWAMI logo represents the unique collaboration between the University of Washington and its partner universities in Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. The design features a master lockup for overarching communications, as well as state-specific logos that provide more autonomy and regional relevance for each WWAMI state program.
These guidelines ensure proper logo usage and maintain readability, clarity, and professionalism in all formats. Text here

WWAMI state logos guidance and usage
There is one logo for the UW School of Medicine, and three logos for each of the WWAMI states except Spokane which also has a UW School of Medicine-Gonzaga University Health Partnership logo. (Note: all of the logos are available in black on white, white on black, and reversed formats).
Washington
The state of Washington is unique in that there are two Foundations sites: Seattle and Spokane.
The UWSOM-GU Health Partnership logo should be used for documents, letterhead, collateral materials, swag, etc., referencing UWSOM’s education program in Spokane. There are various color versions and copy versions. Feel free to use whichever version works best for your purpose, although when possible, use the primary UWSOM-GU Health Partnership logo.
The circle, vertical and horizontal Washington WWAMI logos are used by UWSOM Administration/Academic, Rural and Regional Affairs and clinical teaching sites in Western Washington when we want to reference each of the WWAMI states and want or need continuity in the logo presentation.
Washington Primary logo

Washington Secondary logo

Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho
There are three logos that can be used for WWAMI states outside of Washington.
The primary state logo for each is the Round State Logo. It can be used alone, or with the state’s outline logo.
The outline state logos must be paired with the all-WWAMI Round Logo for context. When used alone, it is not clear what the logo means unless you are familiar with WWAMI in that state. Either the horizontal or vertical version can be used depending on formatting needs. On documents and letterhead, if using the all-WWAMI logo and an outline state logo, the all-WWAMI logo should be in the upper left, and the outline state logo in the upper right. The all-WWAMI round logo should be larger than the outline state logo.
