Respirators are only required based on transmission-based precautions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class='posttitle'>What to Expect on Your First Day at SCH<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Please be patient and plan ahead as sometimes the screening lines can get long.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Your rotation at Children\u2019s starts in the Graduate Medical Education\/Medical Student Office at Seattle Children\u2019s, 4800 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle WA, room OC.7.830.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn onto Penny Drive to enter Seattle Children&#8217;s campus<\/li>\n<li>Park in Lot 4 using the parking PIN provided to you in your sign-in and badging information email.<\/li>\n<li>Walk UP the hill to the Ocean 6 entrance.<\/li>\n<li>Check in with the security desk for a visitor sticker. It will help to show your orientation information email from the Medical Student Office.<\/li>\n<li>Proceed to the GME Office on Ocean 7.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In the GME Office, you will be issued an SCH photo ID badge. If necessary, you will be asked to complete any outstanding paperwork or web-based training modules.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have completed any required web-based training and the sign-in and badging process, you will be released to your rotation.<\/p>\n<h3 class='posttitle'>Medical Student Parking at SCH and Transportation Info<\/h3>\n<p><u><strong>Parking Information<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Orientation Day Parking<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the day of orientation (or the day you sign-in)\u00a0<strong>only<\/strong>, you will park in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/3ldedddcx0o0thn\/SCH%20Lot%204%20Map_0323.png?dl=0\">Lot 4<\/a>. <strong>You will need a PIN to enter the lot.<\/strong> The PIN will be included in your sign-in and badging email from the Medical Student Program.\n<ul>\n<li>Lot 4 looks small when you pull in but keep going&#8211;you might need to drive around the corner to find a spot. The map linked above will help!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">After Orientation Day Parking<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Where you park depends on when you are scheduled to be at the hospital:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you arrive before 5:30AM or after 10:30AM on weekdays or anytime on a weekend or Children&#8217;s-observed holiday, you may park onsite in staff Lots 1, 2, 3 or 4. You will need your badge to get in and out of the lots.<\/li>\n<li>If you arrive between the hours of 5:30AM and 10:30AM on weekdays, you are required to park off-site.\n<ul>\n<li>Medical students park for free at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Seattle+Children's+Sand+Point+Learning+Center\/@47.6711801,-122.2731864,17z\/data=!3m2!4b1!5s0x54901370a6567961:0x874e07fee6869e26!4m6!3m5!1s0x54901370a4143633:0xa4471ecc7850cba3!8m2!3d47.6711765!4d-122.2706115!16s%2Fg%2F1v62hc1l?entry=ttu&amp;g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDgyNC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D\"><strong>Sand Point Learning Center <\/strong><\/a> and use the SCH shuttle for transportation between the parking lot and the hospital. The current shuttle schedule is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/scl\/fi\/j2lm1lbpd679erve5fb5l\/_FORM_ShuttleSchedule_12112023-2.pdf?rlkey=uf47ulie724u95b54jl0w5wew&amp;dl=0\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If the Sand Point Learning Center lot is full, call SCH Transportation at 206-987-5500 for instructions on where to park.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>DO NOT park in patient\/family\/visitor parking.<\/li>\n<li>DO NOT park in the neighborhoods around SCH.<\/li>\n<li>DO NOT use the River circle for drop-offs; it is for staff shuttles only. Please use the drop-off areas at the Forest or Ocean 6\/8 entrances.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Failure to comply with the parking rules will get you ticketed or towed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOTICE: You are required to turn in your SCH badge at the end of your rotation but will still be allowed to ride the shuttle to get to your car. Let the driver know that you finished your rotation and returned your badge to the GME office as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Shuttles and Buses:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Other shuttle options include the UW Health Sciences Express Shuttle, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Shuttle and the UW\/Fred Hutch South Lake Union Shuttle. You can find those shuttle schedules and information\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/facilities.uw.edu\/services\/tag\/shuttles\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Finally, the hospital is served\u00a0directly by four King Country Metro bus routes: #31, #32, #65, and #75.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biking Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SCH is a bike-friendly workplace and medical students are welcome and encouraged to ride to the hospital.
