Your orientation information email will also indicate where and when to arrive on your first day.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Please review the course materials on Canvas PRIOR to orientation on your first day. <strong>Familiarity with the Canvas site is vital to your success on the wards sub-I rotation.<\/strong> The course webpages will be published prior to the course start date.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class='posttitle'>AMS Connect &#038; Pager #s in CORES<\/h3>\n<p><p>AMS Connect is the paging system teams use at SCH, instead of carrying physical pagers. You should have received an email from the Medical Student Office with information about setting up your AMS Connect account using an app on your smart phone. If you didn&#8217;t receive\/can&#8217;t find the email, email <a href=\"mailto:medical.students@seattlechildrens.org\">medical.students@seattlechildrens.org<\/a> requesting an activation e-mail and your pager #. Your AMS Connect number is the same as your pager number. There\u2019s more info about using the app <a href=\"https:\/\/child.seattlechildrens.org\/people_and_places\/departments\/voice_operations\/ams_connect\/\">here<\/a> (note that you have to be logged into the SCH network or at SCH to access this page on the hospital intranet). Your team is already using AMS Connect and can likely help you get things started on your phone.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>You can assign that pager # to yourself in CORES. Here&#8217;s how: <\/p>\n<p>1.&nbsp; Click on CORES tab to view team list<br \/>2.&nbsp; Click on the &#8220;+ More&#8221; tab, located next to the button &#8220;View Patient List&#8221; on the CORES screen<br \/>3.&nbsp; Select &#8220;My Preferences&#8221; from the drop down menu<br \/>4.&nbsp; Enter pager number starting with area code and omitting any spaces or dashes<br \/>5.&nbsp; Choose paging service from drop down menu, which should be listed on the back of pager<br \/>6.&nbsp; Check the box to enable text paging<br \/>7.&nbsp; Click on the tab &#8220;Save Changes&#8221;<br \/>8.&nbsp; Wait for confirmation code to be sent to your pager<br \/>9.&nbsp; Enter code on provided line and click verify<br \/>10. You will receive information from the Medical Student Office on how to complete any required modules. To get Haiku on your phone, download Microsoft Intune, Children&#8217;s mobile device management system app, by following the instructions (Steps 1 &amp; 2) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattlechildrens.org\/employees\/epic-mobile-apps\/\">here<\/a>. There&#8217;s info for Android and iPhones and a handy FAQ.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class='posttitle'>SCH Call Room Access<\/h3>\n<p><p>\n\tMedical students at SCH on the PEDS 691 Advanced Pediatric Clerkship and PEDS 677 Pediatric Intensive Care rotations will be given badge access to the Medical Student call room. Effective October 28, 2019, the call room is pod RC.2.912, room RC.2.919 and should be used by medical students ONLY.
