A UW-wide offering of select Microsoft Office 365 services for collaboration and sharing.
UW Microsoft Collaborative Apps offers the following Office 365 services for use with an eligible UW NetID:
UW SharePoint Online (MySite):
25GB storage for files and other data.
UW SkyDrive Pro: store, share and sync documents up to 2GB.
Office Web Apps: create, view and distribute Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote documents. (Access Web App is currently unavailable.)
Site mailboxes hosted on Exchange Online provide an additional 5GB of storage for email and attachments per site.
SharePoint Sites for creating up to 2,000 Intranet web sites for collaboration and sharing.
Social network that allows you share knowledge and start conversations.
UW Lync Online:
Instant messaging with the UW Community and with others around the world via Lync open federation.
Online meetings with up to 250 participants from the UW community, outside federated Lync organizations or anonymous.
Desktop and application sharing.
Real-time presence information, available to a wide range of applications like SharePoint and Outlook.
Integrated with UW Exchange Local.
HIPAA Business Associates Agreement established between UW and Microsoft.
FERPA protections are included in the agreement with Microsoft.
This service is enabled for current students, faculty, staff and clinicians.
UW faculty; UW staff; UW students; UW researchers; UW clinicians; For Shared NetIDs and sponsored NetIDs, accounts will be available upon request.
How to Order:
These services are enabled by default for all current students, faculty, staff and clinicians. Shared NetIDs can be enabled for the service by the request of current faculty, staff or clinicians by sending a request to firstname.lastname@example.org.

This service is included in the Technology Recharge Fee.
Service Level Description:
The Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Microsoft guarantees 99.9% uptime.
Limited support for service activation questions is available from the UW Information Technology Service Center. Questions regarding the use and features of the service should be directed to Microsoft.

MediaAMP™ offers end-to-end content delivery, storage and security solutions designed to overcome current limitations and address emerging trends while being flexible and extensible. Cloud Services, infrastructure and tools for storing, managing and delivering digital assets, streaming media and protected content.
Pricing is a monthly subscription or based on type of engagement. MediaAMP Media Manager for Canvas (MMC): is $80.00 per month per course owner (i.e. faculty user), per course, with a limit of 100 media objects. To request the MMC for your Canvas course, please send a message to email@example.com, with the course name or course ID and your budget number.

Studios for connecting local meetings and presentations with others worldwide
Videoconferencing allows you to meet face to face with people across the state or around the world without leaving the University of Washington. It is easier and more cost-effective than traveling, and you can supplement your presentations by showing printed documents and computer programs such as PowerPoint presentations.
Videoconferencing Studios are available during regular building hours only.
Rates effective July 1, 2014 for FY2015.
Videoconference Studios Fees
(Including technical testing and on-site support during the reservation)
* UW Budget Number: $165 per hour
* Non-UW Budget Number: $330 per hour plus a 15.6% Institutional Overhead fee
The following cancellation fee policy applies for all reservations:
* Cancelling with more than five (5) business days advance notice: $82.50 per event or event series
* Cancelling with less than five (5) business days advance notice: 50% of reservation charge
* Cancelling with less than two (2) business days advance notice: 100% of reservation charge
The following fees apply to rescheduling videoconference dates and times for all reservations (must have new dates at time of request):
* Rescheduling events with more than five (5) business days advance notice: $50
* Rescheduling events with less than five (5) business days advance notice: $100
Reservations must be received at least 7 days in advance.
Support includes technical testing prior to videconference event.
Reservations do not include extra set-up time before your event, or extra time after. If you need additional time prior to or after your event, you must reserve it.
Support does not including booking of the far-end facilities.
Smoking is not permitted.
Eating and drinking are allowed in designated areas.
Service Level Description:
Inquiries will be responded to within 2 business days, if not sooner.
A Videoconference Consultant is available to assist you with the entire process, including help with technical coordination of the videoconference with the far-end site, material preparation, and operation of equipment on the day of the conference. We can also provide an initial demonstration of the capabilities of the studios and answer any questions you may have concerning your videoconference.

Extensive multipoint conferencing services that support ISDN and IP-based videoconferencing
The Washington K-20 Educational Network provides extensive multipoint conferencing services supporting both ISDN and IP-based videoconferencing. This service allows multiple participants to connect to a videoconference using H323 based hardware devices and software.
K-20 supports the following devices/applications:
Most IP based H323 endpoints: Polycom, Cisco, Lifesize, etc.
H323 software applications: ◦Polycom PVX
Polycom RealPresence (Desktop & Mobile)
Participants can also join videoconferences using their telephone through dial-in access.
UW faculty, UW staff, UW students, UW researchers (must have access to appropriate videoconferencing endpoint)
K-20 videoconferencing resources are available on a first-come, first-serve basis with the exception that, if a conflict arises, instructional conferences take precedence over administrative conferences.
The MCUs operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
