Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention
Seattle & King County Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention was established to advance existing initiatives and programs, focusing on multi-faceted approaches to community violence intervention. Through collaborative partnerships with community organizations & cross systems partners, the office coordinates gun violence reduction efforts, engages directly with impacted communities, convenes key partners and experts, implements specific initiatives and programs, and enhances the work of the Regional Peacekeepers Collective Initiative to elevate community-led solutions.
Washington Commerce Office of Firearm Safety and Violence Prevention
The Department of Commerce works hand-in-hand with local and regional agencies, public health officials, law enforcement, community organizations and individual community members to develop evidence and data driven policies, strategies and interventions to reduce the impacts of firearm violence in Washington communities. The program aims to enhance public health and safety by supporting effective initiatives to reduce firearm violence especially in communities disproportionately affected by community violence including suicides.

Center for Firearm Injury Prevention
The Center for Firearm Injury Prevention (C-FIP) was established in 2019 with funding from the Washington State Legislature, building on more than four decades of firearm-related research at the University of Washington.
Harborview Injury Prevention & Research Center
HIPRC is a CDC-funded Injury Control Research Center (ICRC). The ICRC network is funded by the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control to find ways to prevent injury and violence. HIPRC is the only ICRC in the western half of the United States. HIPRC is a joint initiative of the University of Washington School of Medicine and Harborview Medical Center.
The Health Alliance for Violence Intervention
The Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI)’s mission is to reduce violence by advancing hospital-based violence intervention programs and coordinated, community-led systems that heal trauma and promote equity.
