Students on many international programs tend not to have access to the same level of informational and technological resources that are available on the University of Washington campus. This presentation discusses how one university program used online tools to increase opportunities for research and communication for its students studying abroad. It addresses the benefits and challenges of integrating technology into the unique environment of an overseas program.

This presentation demonstrates the digital tools used during the program, shows sample assignments and student work, provides tips for adapting a curriculum to incorporate technology, and shares the results of a research study that examined the benefits and challenges of using technology in this environment.
