NATURE OF ORGANIZATON:

SoA+AH+D Visual Services staff is here to help faculty, students, and staff with their image needs for teaching, presentations, and class assignments. The facility maintains a digital image database for teaching and is a digital imaging center for new image orders from faculty and inhouse archival material.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scan 35mm slides; perform copystand photography; edit digital images using Photoshop; track metadata and processes in Filemaker Pro databases; process images for database in preparation for uploading to servers; assist students and faculty with image and presentation needs; related tasks and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: demonstrated extreme attention to detail; competency with computers and an interest in digital imaging; a willingness and ability to learn new software and/or equipment; capability to balance detailed processes while providing service to students and faculty; ability to follow instructions closely and consistently; dedication to maintaining a regular weekly schedule. Desired: comfort with the Mac OS; basic knowledge of Photoshop and FileMaker Pro; strong verbal and written communication skills.
