Cornish College of the Arts is looking for a Digital Content Specialist to join their dynamic Marketing & Communications team. The ideal candidate is an experienced and energetic marketer with an edge for storytelling, a designer’s eye and aesthetic for content, and a strategic and analytical mind for developing campaigns that drive engagement and conversation.

The Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering creative social campaigns featuring various constituents and programs , maximizing opportunities for engagement, conversation and brand building. This position will also ensure relevant and up to date content for all web pages as well as all other platforms. This candidate must be a versatile and highly creative team member able to develop engaging content and write meaningful copy, independently, that produces measurable results.

Job Responsibilities

Create monthly content calendars to publish on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram that are in line with goals and expectations and that capture the attention and maximize the engagement of users in the social media environment.

Manage and maintain all social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Cornish website.

Create and manage day-to-day social media content including photography/video clips while using accurate and relevant tags/descriptions.

Review user-generated comments and posts on all social media sites in a timely manner and respond to comments.

Along with the Director of Marketing and Communications, help develop and implement advertising strategies on social media sites.

Conceive, create and publish compelling multimedia and interactive Web content, including producing, editing, and managing video, photos, galleries, audios and graphics; shooting, producing and publishing original video.

Work with unit leaders to keep all pages fresh with updated content about events, activities etc.

Assist in managing general web content and functionality, as needed.

Develop a comprehensive content development and maintenance strategy for academic/department web content in our WordPress CMS.

Assist in training staff to maintain and update their own web pages, when possible and appropriate.

Research, compile, add, and update student, alumni, and faculty testimonials and biographical/career information to the College’s website.

Organize monthly reports that highlight wins and provides assessment.

Helping grow our platforms and our audience.

Stay on top of social media technology trends and strategies, best practices, concepts and industry developments.

Use analytics tools to develop monthly goals.

Identify new opportunities to drive results and improve performance.

Partner with internal and external resources for content creation.

Assisting with additional marketing projects as assigned.

Be an active and visible partner with both internal and external constituents, fostering a positive online community
