Overview

The Industrial Design team at our Aerospace-focused studio is looking for a couple of interns to help us envision and deliver the future of travel experiences. The ID Intern will utilize conceptual skills and imagination to bring innovation and a creative spark to our design deliverables. You have a demonstrated understanding of design quality and skills that embrace a holistic, human-centered design process.

You’re a creative problem solver, bring a fresh perspective, and are excited to work with and support our design teams. You can generate a breath of ideas, are empathetic towards our users, and consider user experience advantages of divergent concepts. You are inspired and current in trends, materials, technologies across physical and digital experiences and enthusiastic about aviation, aerospace, and other mobility methods. You are hands-on and thrive in a collaborative environment. In addition to your high-energy style, you are inspired, fun to work with, and leverage your resourcefulness to get the job done. 

What We Just Said, Now in 6 Bullet Points (a.k.a. Essential Qualifications):

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a program in Industrial Design.
  • A strong portfolio that illustrates your creative skills across the design process; Great sketching, concept generation, and design development; Proficiency in 2D, 3D, and rendering software; Baseline understanding of prototyping, materials, and manufacturing processes within product development.
  • Eager to explore and contribute a breadth of design concepts (sketch, 2D, 3D, prototyping).
  • Help deliver creative content within collaborative, cross-disciplinary team settings.
  • Innovative thinker and problem-solver; Willingness to take direction and learn from others; Open-minded and willing to embrace diverse opinions and perspectives.
  • Positive-attitude; Effectively deal with inherent ambiguity and change in doing something new.

This is a paid internship for 3-6 months.  

Teague is currently working in a hybrid location model.  While some work can be done remotely, there will also be in-person activities at our facilities in Everett, WA.
