Camp Taconic, a co-ed sleep away camp in Western, MA, is currently hiring upbeat and enthusiastic counselors to be role models for our campers this summer. We are looking for specialty counselors in our fine arts department specifically in ceramics, painting and drawing, and crafts. This is a great opportunity for college students who are studying the arts and are looking for a summer internship or job. We provide room and board for the summer, travel reimbursement, internship credit and it is an overall wonderful experience!
This is a summer job position, beginning June 16, 2023 and ending August 12, 2023. Our specialty counselors work in their specialty area during the six activity periods of the day and teach campers, ages 8-15, who are assigned to your area for that period. We are looking for counselors that are not only passionate about and creative in their activity area but who also have the ability to teach and develop the campers’ skills in that area. Each counselor also lives with a bunk of campers, ages 8-16. Throughout the summer, your job is to monitor the social, emotional, and physical well being of your campers. You are helping with your campers during meals, bunk time and evening activities.
