Auditions October 2 & 3 for UW Undergraduate Theater Society production of Fefu and Friends
Fefu and Her Friends is an experimental feminist play that immerses the audience within a gathering of fascinating women on a single day. The show, written by queer Cuban-American playwright Maria Irene Fornés, explores the relationships between eight female characters with complex and contradictory perspectives on gender, society, education, and more. The unique staging of Fefu splits the audience into four groups, who will experience scenes in multiple settings at different times. It’s simultaneously witty, tragic, funny, and-literally-moving. “And if they shall recognize each other, the world will be blown apart.”
