My name is Jess Testa, and I am with The Center for Wooden Boats. Our upcoming annual festival, the 43rd Annual Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival is featuring an art contest for our promotional poster! We’re reaching out to various arts organizations to try and get the word out so we can engage with more artists in our community.
A few details about the contest:
- Submissions DUE April 19th
- No age/submission limit
- ONLY original artwork
- NO LETTERING/TYPOGRAPHY ON DESIGN
- Prize for winner of the contest
- One free CWB facility rental in our floating gallery or our new Wagner Education Center
- Free one-year membership to CWB
- 25 copies of the poster
- 1 t-shirt with the printed design
The finished piece of artwork and all rights to use the artwork become property of The Center for Wooden Boats with proper accreditation to the artist. We’d really like to get more diverse artists to contribute to the theme of “Promoting community, heritage, and boats!”
