Arbutus Folk School seeks Arts Instructors
Arbutus Folk School is currently accepting applications for the position of Arts Instructor in all disciplines.
We are accepting applications on a rolling basis, with review of applications at the end of every month. At this time, we are especially interested in applications for the following:
- Cultural Arts Instructor: Artists whose art form reflects the place they live or the place they’re from, or whose art form is rooted in their cultural, occupational, or ethnic identity, are especially encouraged to apply.
- Woodworking Instructor: We are seeking a woodworking instructor who can offer classes that complement our current course offerings in the woodshop.
- Fiber Arts Instructor: Arbutus Folk School’s weaving loft is filled with underutilized floor looms – join our team to teach weaving classes and reinvigorate Marjorie’s Loft after a long Covid hiatus. We are also interested in applications from artists who can offer sewing classes for youth.
- Ceramics Instructor: We are seeking a ceramics instructor who can offer classes similar to or complementary to our current course offerings in the studio, both handbuilding and wheelthrowing, but especially wheelthrowing.
