Camp Taconic Job Opportunity:
Camp Taconic, a co-ed sleep away camp in Western, MA, is currently hiring upbeat and enthusiastic counselors to be role models for our campers this summer. We’re specifically looking for specialty counselors in ceramics and photography for our Fine Arts Center. This is the perfect opportunity for college students studying Fine Arts who are looking for a summer internship or job. We provide room and board for the summer, a competitive salary, travel reimbursement, internship credit and it is an overall wonderful experience!
This is a summer job position, beginning June 16, 2023 and ending August 12, 2023. At Taconic, we have a full program of activities. One of our premier program groups is Fine Arts! Fine Arts counselors work closely with our outstanding Arts and Tech team to instruct campers within an activity area. Counselors also help campers create amazing projects throughout the summer. During a summer at camp, counselors gain invaluable experience teaching, mentoring, working with children and more! We are looking for counselors that are not only passionate about and creative in their activity area but who also have the ability to teach and develop the campers’ skills in that area. Each counselor also lives with a bunk of campers, ages 8-16. Throughout the summer, your job is to monitor the social, emotional, and physical well being of your campers. You are helping with your campers during meals, bunk time and evening activities.
We provide room and board, a competitive salary, travel reimbursement, and internship credit. In fact, last summer we provided over 40 internships to college students across the country.
