NGC 4472 Galaxy Image

1. Determine the extent of the long axis of the galaxy as projected on our night sky (the galaxy located in the very center of the image at the left).
2. Click on one end of the long axis of the galaxy. The window will display the x,y pixel coordinates you have selected.
3. Click on the other end of the long axis of the galaxy (measurement may need to be a diagonal). The window will report the second set of x,y coordinates.
4. Record the angular size of the galaxy as reported.
5. If you make a mistake please click the "Try Again" link
6. Use the "Back" icon to return to the galaxy selection page.
