Frequently
Asked Questions:
Is my child eligible for your
studies?
We are currently recruiting babies to be in a study
about aspects of social-cognitive development with
children who are 15 months old. When you call, we will
ask you a few questions
about you and your family to see if it will be a good
match.
How
long is the visit?
The
testing itself only takes about 15-20 minutes but the
full visit is about 45 minutes to an hour. We allow
time for going over the study before and after the
testing session, as well as time for your baby to get
comfortable in the new space.
Where is your lab located?
We are
at the University of Washington, at the Institute for
Learning and Brain Sciences. For more detailed
directions, visit our contact info page.
Will my infant be with me the whole time?
Yes, you
and your child will remain together throughout the
entire visit.
What if I have other
children?
Feel
free to bring them along! We typically have research
staff who can watch your siblings in our family lobby.
Will
I be able to see results of the study?
If you
are interested, we will take down your contact
information and send you publications as they are
released. Also, check out our publications for
previous research findings!
