Travel Information
The following information has been compiled for conference participants commuting just a few miles or flying in. If you have questions or need assistance making travel plans, please let us know.
Child Care
The University of Washington maintains a listing of
child care providers located on or near the UW campus in Seattle to help participants with children identify appropriate resources for their childcare needs.
Ground Transportation
The UW campus is well-served by
Seattle Metro transit buses and light rail. The UW Husky Stadium light rail station provides direct service to and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
in about 50 minutes. Please note that the Husky Station stop is a 10-minute (0.5 mile) walk from central campus, but around a mile away from campus hotels (some of which may offer a shuttle or pickup service from the station).
Seattle is served by taxis (For instance,
Yellow Cab, if you're coming from the airport) as well as both
Uber and
Lyft car service.
The free
UW Health Sciences shuttle makes WEEKDAY ONLY laps around the University District, including a pickup at UW Tower across the street from the Marriott Residence Inn (also accessible to Hotel Deca guests about a block to the east), as well as a stop near the Watertown Hotel on Roosevelt Avenue.

Food Options
A number of
dining halls and cafes on the UW campus are open to the public. During lunchtime, most UW students will walk directly off-campus onto University Way ("The Ave"), which has a number of restaurants of varying price and quality. Yelp reviews of
these restaurants can help evaluate your options.
