CERSE Graduate Research Assistant Anna Lee Swan publishes an article in Feminist Media Studies

Earlier this year, Graduate Research Assistant Anna Lee Swan published a sole-authored piece in Feminist Media Studies. The article, “Choosing recovery: postfeminist empowerment and the embodied self-brand,” considers the contradictions within online communities centering women’s public recovery from eating disorders. Swan looks at eating disorder recovery vlogging and the ways in which women can support each other online while also tackling the pressure of societal standards that can produce these disorders.
