IT'S SHOWTIME!

Packing For Mars

This is a digital redesign of The New York Times best-seller Packing For Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void. Because real talk, how can you fully encapsulate the Infinity and Beyond in inked slices of paper? That’s right, you can’t.

Wacky animated cover and trippy galactic buttons (or were they portals?) to transport you to the different chapters of space-living, just do it better. So much better.

Dear Charlie

Dear Charlie: Letters from Wallflowers All over the World is a collection of “letters” submitted anonymously through the blog Dear Charlie.

Careful consideration has been put into grouping and ordering the letters into a broader coming-of-age arc. However, the form they take allows them to be experienced in any order. Typographic treatment, and the way the pages are oriented and cut, carry as much meaning as the written words.

IKEA is a multi-national conglomerate that designs, makes and sells a wide variety of products, all with one unified goal: to make life at home better. Since its birth in 1943 in Sweden, IKEA has become a household name, synonymous with affordable furniture that actually works well and looks nice.

This new word mark and refreshed visual system aim to capture IKEA’s quirky and friendly personality, while helping you navigate IKEA’s unique retail environment better.

The & Shop

People are complex, while it is human instinct to make quick and instant judgements, it can often limit our scope and hinder possible relationships.

The & Shop takes the metaphor of a grocery store, creates an indoor shopping experience that motivates participants to be patient and get to know others on a deeper level. They are encouraged to think: How do others define you? How do you define yourself? How do you define others?

Home App

Home is a platform that aims to re-establish the intergenerational connection within families. It helps the younger generation find conversation topics to break the ice with their elders, and in the process, rediscover their own roots. Home suggests conversation topics specific to your subject’s personal history and transcribes your conversations to text for easy later reference. With its companion interactive map tool that visualizes your family’s journey through time and space, discovering and documenting your family’s history have never been easier.
