My name is Sheryl Burgstahler. I have a husband, Dave, and a son, Travis. I have Bachelors and Masters degrees in mathematics and a Ph.D. in higher education. I am an Assistant Director within Computing & Communications and a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Washington. I am particularly interested in how people with disabilities can make use of computers and networks to achieve high levels of independence, productivity, and participation. I'm also interested in how the Internet can be used to create an electronic community...and, of course, I'm very interested in the "doitkids." Oh, by the way, I direct the DO-IT project! Hi, my name is Kris Rosenberg. I have been helping out here as part of the technical and instruction staff for the past five years. I really enjoy coming out here to Camp Courage and meeting all the new campers, and getting to see some of those familiar faces. I live in Corvallis Oregon (about 2 hours south of Portland) and work as a computer security expert for a company I helped get started. When I'm not working, I enjoy hiking, sailing, SCUBA diving, cooking, and just plain old relaxing. I went to school at Oregon State University (Go Beavers!) and studied Psychology and Chemistry. I have considered a number of different graduate school options but for now I'm happy working with my company and DO-IT during the summers. Who knows though what the future may bring! My name is Rick Light and my family and I am from River Falls, Wisconsin. I have worked at Camp Courage since 1976. I am a math teacher at Lake Junior High School in Woodbury, MN. Hi, my name is Christin Light, and this is my sixth year of working the College Preview/Internet Camp. I ran the advanced group where we worked with video editing. I attend the College of St. CAtherine's in St. Paul, MN. I graduated from River Falls High School in 1999, and worked with Graphic Design and Marketing while living in Minneapolis last year. My name is Bill Taylor. I'm a retired software engineer who now has time to attend Camp Courage during the summer. I have worked for McDonnell Douglas where I helped send men to the moon, and for a company called Boeing-they make airplanes. Both jobs were made possible with an engineering degree from a large University. I therefore recommend a college / university education. The resulting high paying jobs make life fun and easy. Hello, my name is Flint Million. I am attending Camp Courage this year as an intern for the College Preview camp. Prior to this session, I have attended Camp Courage five times as a camper, during the years of 1994-1998, in the Blind Sports camp. I have worked with computers for basically my entire life (I was first exposed to computers at the age of 2 and have used them ever since). My name is Tracy. I attended college preview camp last year, and this year I was asked to be an intern. I have really enjoyed working with the campers and helping them understand more about the Internet and thinking about college. They have really looked up to me. My hobbies are reading, talking on the phone, being with friends.
