St. John's Campus Visit
College Preview and Internet Camp 2000
This year, the Camp Courage College Preview campers took a trip to the campus of St. John's College. Here's what some of our campers had to say!
Andrew: "Today we went on a trip for computer class and we went to St. John's University. It was about a 40 minute ride there and I enjoyed the tour that we got. They have a big arena for basketball and an inside track course which I thought was awesome. There was also a big swimming pool. I had fun eating there also."
Nicole: "I HAD FUN AND LEARNED A LOT ABOUT COLLEGES. THIS TRIP WILL HELP ME IN THE FUTURE WHEN I GO TO COLLEGE."
Jolene: "I thought that the trip to St. John's was pretty cool. I liked the campus a lot. Everything was really accessable and stuff like that."
Zach: "Some things I thought were interesting about the trip were the things we saw at the church while we were there. It has one of the biggest stained glass windows in the world. It's very sturdy but if you take one piece out it will break. It's a symbol of the church community. The balcony of that particular church is also a very big cement structure but the cool thing about it is that it's free standing. P.S. The food is great!"
