Harborview Medical Center

Close to downtown Seattle, this 413-bed hospital is owned by King County and managed by the University of Washington. Its trauma and burn centers treat the most serious types of injuries. The hospital also specializes in neurological disorders and orthopaedic problems. It offers primary and specialty care in many other fields. Harborview has a mission to help those with limited access to medical care. It's a training site for students in the health professions and a place where faculty biomedical research focuses on prevention and therapy.

University of Washington School of Medicine

Founded in 1946, the UW medical school is a regional institution serving the states of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho (WWAMI). The medical school is located on the University of Washington campus, but has teaching sites for medical students and residents in more than 100 towns and cities across the region. Medical school faculty members also train biomedical scientists and allied health professionals, conduct biomedical research, and perform a variety of public services for the community.

UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics

UW Physicians

One of two UW faculty-physician practice plans, UW Physicians provides services to patients at UW Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, the UW Neighborhood Clinics, and various other sites. More than 1,100 UW faculty physicians practice as members of UW Physicians.
