Altar to Group Solidarity
This altar features green, white, and red beer bottles arranged to form an Italian flag.


Ninja Altar
According to Ben, the Pauls, and Whitney, new archeaological findings reveal that Julius Ceasar was a ninja. This altar demonstrates the ninja abilities of all members of our group. Shawn is the "Sensei," Cara is the "No Man Left Behind Ninja," Jennifer is the "Museum Ninja," and Allie is the "Grappa Ninja," et cetera. Relics include a grappa bottle used by the grappa ninja and a gelato sppon used by the gelato ninja.

Altar to the "Pedonna"
This altar features shoes, maps of walking routes, a depiction of "Heaven" (with bus tickets and a massage brochure), a bandaid box (a second degree relic), and used bandaids (first degree relics).

Altar to Bernini's Elephant Obelisk
This altar features elephant objects found throughout Italy (elephant beer, and elephant incense holder, elephant chocolate, and a contrata flag from Siena). Offerings to the elephant include peanuts and letters (in four languages).

Rock Altar
This altar features rocks from every location the group has visited. Rocks have been "inscribed" with the location where they were found and "carbon-dated" with the date of the journey.

Altar to Travel in Italy
This altar features various icons of our experience in Rome: Sadie's shoe (the one run over by a scooter), Anabelle's shoe (that gave her several blisters), sunscreen, an Italian phrase book, maps, sunglasses, medicine, an airline blanket, et cetera. Each tells a story of an experience in Italy.
