What is to be done? History of Science in the New Millennium

Following successful meetings in Manchester (1988), Toronto (1992), and Edinburgh (1996), the British Society for the History of Science, the Canadian Society for the History and Philosophy of Science, and the History of Science Society will be undertaking their fourth international joint meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, August 3-6, 2000.

The Preliminary Program is now available. Many thanks for the hard work of the program chairs, Jon Agar, Bernie Lightman, and Paul Theerman, in construction this program. If you are a participant and would like to make changes to your information, please e-mail the changes to hssexec@u.washington.edu by May 25.

You may now register online! Check out our About St Louis Page to learn more about the optional activities, including baseball, for delegates and their families. Register early for these events.
