Christine joined the Doherty lab in 2012 after graduating with a BS in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Puget Sound. As a research scientist in the lab, Christine spends her time identifying genetic causes of Joubert Syndrome and other hindbrain malformation disorders. Additionally, she is exploring the effect of these mutations in primary cilia by using immunohistochemistry and patient fibroblast cell lines. Outside of lab, Christine enjoys playing soccer, cooking and being outdoors.
