Slush casting

Back to Case study
Slush casting Lesson/Tutorial   This is a variation of the permanent mold casting process, but in slush casting only the outer layer of the metal in the mold is allowed to solidify.  The inner metal that is still hot and slushy is poured out so that a hollow shape is formed.  This is often used to make candlesticks, lamp bases, and statues.
