Toughness Lesson/Tutorial | If you drop a glass bowl and a metal bowl to the ground the glass breaks very easily. You’d say that the metal bowl is tougher than the glass bowl. In materials science toughness means that the metal bowl can absorb a lot more energy before it breaks than the glass bowl. |
