Mike Weisenhaus

Mike received his B.S. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois and entered the Pharmacology Ph.D. program in 2000. He joined the McKnight lab in 2001 as a graduate student. He is currently studying the role of PKA localization by the A kinase anchoring protein AKAP150, which can target PKA and scaffold other signaling molecules to the postsynaptic density. He is studying AKAP150 knockout mice and AKAP150 mutant mice where the protein lacks only the PKA binding domain.
