Welcome to the Department of Neurology
The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington is proud of its tradition as a leading academic center dedicated to excellence in patient care, education and research. The Department of Neurology offers comprehensive consultation, evaluation and treatment services for adults and children with neurological disorders, through its clinical facilities at the University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, VA Puget Sound Health Care System and Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. General and subspecialty clinics include epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, memory disorders and dementia, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, neuro-oncology, sleep disorders, and pediatric neurology. Disorders appropriate for referral include all those of the central nervous system, the peripheral nervous system and diseases of muscle.
The Neurology Residency Training Program represents a significant portion of the Department's efforts. We are extremely proud of our program, which is world-renowned and regularly receives applications for training from around the world.
