The 2nd Northwest Conference on Japanese Pedagogy will be held at the University of Washington on May 21-22, 2016. The conference theme is ““How Can We Motivate Students? : The Present and Future of Japanese Language Education in North America”(学生のモチベーションを維持するには〜北米日本語教育の現状と今後)” and two keynote speakers have been invited to give talks in this theme. The rest of the conference will include individual paper presentations on any area of Japanese pedagogy. The conference is open to college-level and secondary school teachers.

The event is organized by the Japanese Program in the Department of Asian Languages and Literature with financial support provided by the East Asia Center, the UW Japan Studies Program, and the Department of Asian Languages and Literature.
