Study Abroad ProgramsIf you're interested in doing a unique political study placement in Westminster and following a course in British politics at the London School of Economics, there is still time to apply for the Spring 2008 Hansard Scholars Programme . The Hansard Scholars Programme is a 12-week (11 in summer), full-time course of study which offers an outstanding opportunity for undergraduates, postgraduates and young professionals to get invaluable experience at the heart of the British political system. 2008 really will be a fascinating time to be involved in British politics. After a decade in power, Tony Blair has stood down as Prime Minister and his successor, and former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown will be well into his premiership. Mr Brown will be busy fending off the growing threat from David Cameron's revitalised Conservative party and Parliament, Government and political organisations throughout the UK will be trying to find their feet in what will be a new and crucial period in British political history. You can be a part of this – witnessing the changes, conflicts and developments first hand as they emerge.
