Graduate student alumnus Subha Vasudevan presented her MS project “Optimized Provenance Reconstruction using Genetic Algorithm” as a poster at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing in Houston, TX.
Here is her first-hand experience:
“The poster presentation happened on the first day of the conference from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The presentation went pretty well. There were at least 50-60 people who wanted to know about the project. I have attached a picture for the research group’s website.
Other than that there were a lot of tech talks and technical discussions. I got the opportunity to meet many accomplished women from various streams. There were male engineers/students as well. I would highly recommend the students in our research group to attend GHC at least once when they are a student.
Thank you very much for sponsoring my trip. It was totally a new experience. ”
