Provenance and Traceability Research Group

ProvEco System

Capturing data provenance across different platforms

ProvMASS

Tracing agent behavior for simulation insight

BrainGrid Workbench Project

Capturing software and data provenance

FACTS project

Providing a holistic view of source code changes

The Provenance and Traceability Research Group focuses on techniques for connecting related information that may be heterogeneous, distributed, or owned by different people

We take a problem-driven approach to research--we investigate the underlying challenges to provenance and software traceability and devise techniques or tools to address these challenges. While we primarily work within the domains of software engineering and e-Science, our work is also applicable to other domains where large digital records are collected and maintained.
