The development of South Asian Surface Water Modelling System is organically driven by University of Washington’s greater-good effort for humanity, that is also supported by NASA (Applied Science Program – Disaster and Water), USAID, Ivanhoe Foundation, Asian Development Bank, World Bank and Governments of stakeholder nations. This portal is a work in progress with the singular mission to make access to information on water a fundamental human right for all. It provides updates on surface water flux for the basins of Asia and Africa (coming soon) that are considered important for stakeholder agencies and livelihood of people of those regions.
