NOTE: If you have problems downloading the PocketPC® version, try right-clicking
the link above,
and then choose to download the file in the menu that comes up.
The file that you download is called SHFMInstallPocketPC, and is an installer program. To install on your PocketPC, perform the following steps:
- Plug your PocketPC® in using the USB cable, and wait until ActiveSync has recognized the device.
- Run the SHFMInstallerPocketPC, and follow the instructions. For most users, accepting the defaults is the best option.
- Follow the instructions on the screen of your PocketPC®, if any. NOTE: This version may display an error message during install on the PocketPC. A pop-up will say "The program is from an unknown publisher. You should install it only if you
trust its publisher. Do you want to continue?" You should answer Yes. This is normal, and will be fixed in the next release version, which should be out in a few months.
- Please let us know at shfm@u.washington.edu if your installation was successful, and any issues you uncovered. It would also be helpful if you would send us the numbers that appear at the bottom of the "About" dialog in the program. This will give us information of the operating system so that we can gauge if there will be compatibility issues with later versions.
This installer now works with Vista.
