Mongolia:

"Archaeology" in these pages should be understood broadly to include not only excavation but surface archaeology involving the mapping and study of such things as petroglyphs and man-made rock features. The initial focus of the material will be on Mongolia, for the simple reason that it provides much of the material which the editor currently has in hand. However, we envisage that this section of Silk Road Seattle will grow to include other geographical regions. Among the planned additions are reports on specific excavations, annotated bibliographies and essays on methodology and history archaeological investigations along the Silk Road. As always, contributions of material are welcome and essential if the site is to grow.
