Kelly Emmrich

Kelly Emmrich is a graduate student at Colorado State University with research interests in number theory. She began her undergraduate studies pursuing a career in medicine, but after encouragement from her professors, shifted her focus to mathematics. It didn’t take long for Kelly to fall in love with the subject, and once she caught the math bug, she never looked back! She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2018. The summer after graduation, Kelly joined the SIMUW team and immediately fell in love with the collaborative community of students, faculty, and TACs. Math outreach is one of Kelly’s passions and she is involved in her university's Math Day and math circles. When she’s not laughing at math puns, Kelly loves to take photographs, hike, and discover new coffee shops!
