University of Washington Residence Halls (Dorms)

UW Residence Halls will accept Reservations from April 1 through June 9, 2009 for SISG 2009 attendees on a space-available basis only. Please read all of the information about the UW Residence Halls thoroughly to make sure you understand their policies and to make an informative decision about your lodging needs.

Guests can call or email to be housed for any range of SISG dates. Guests must pay for a single rate unless they have pre-arranged for a roommate during their set of dates. If they have a roommate for those dates, both the Guest and their roommate each need to make a separate reservation and submit the name of their roommate when making the reservation (last-minute changes in occupancy status will not be allowed). A guest with a roommate will be charged the double rate. All reservations must be completed at least three days prior to arrival. No walk-in registrations will be accepted.

Rates:
  • $63.00 per person, per day, single occupancy
  • $41.30 per person, per day double occupancy
Rates do not include meals. Standard check-in time is after 2 PM and checkout time is before 11 AM. Luggage storage is available for those needing a secure location to store their luggage outside of these hours.

There is a limited time for check-in at the front desk from June 15-19. During this time, guests can ONLY check-in during the hours of 8 AM-5 PM. Starting June 22, guests may check-in at any time.

Accommodations:
Rooms have twin beds, and Ethernet access is available in sleeping rooms for those who bring their laptops. Bed linen and towels are provided. Beds are made and fresh towels are exchanged daily. Bed linen is changed once per week during extended stays (>7 days). Kitchenettes, television lounges, vending machines and laundry facilities are located in the building. Residence Halls offer a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in public and private areas.

Please note: the Residence Halls are set up for undergraduate student housing with traditional dining halls. Therefore, there are no kitchen facilities or cooking equipment/supplies available. There are no in-room refrigerators; however, you can rent one for $14/week + tax.

Payment:
Payment in full is due at the time a reservation is confirmed, and is required prior to check-in. Reservations must be paid in full at least three (3) full business days prior to arrival. We accept checks, VISA, MasterCard or American Express.

Cancellations:
Guests who cancel their reservation with the Conference Services office at least 3 business days prior to their scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund. Guests who cancel less then 3 business days prior to their arrival date forfeit 10 percent of the payment due, or one day's room and board, whichever is greater. If no advance cancellation is received by the Conference Services office and you do not show, no refund will be issued.

Parking:
If you plan on driving a personal vehicle to the University of Washington, you will be required to purchase a parking permit. There is no charge to park on Sundays or University holidays. Gate issued permits are valid until 7:00 AM the next day.
