My research focuses on understanding conformational changes of proteins using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy and computational modeling techniques. So far, I have been working with my mentor, Maxx Tessmer, on integrating his modeling library, chiLife, with other molecular dynamics (MD) tools. I have also been utilizing EPR spectroscopy to help characterize the conformational changes of proteins designed by members of David Baker’s lab. I am currently looking into proteins that are much more difficult to characterize, such as intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and other multifunctional systems.
