LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Be able to identify carcinoid as the most common tumor of the appendix and state its incidence.
  2. Be able to discuss the surgical treatment of appendiceal carcinoids.
  3. Be able to list the most common sites in the GI tract for carcinoids in order of frequency.
  4. Be able to describe the carcinoid syndrome, when it occurs, and its incidence.
