CURRENT PROJECT

A current project that I am working on is the Upward Bound classes I am taking at the University of Washington. Upward Bound is a program that lets high school students see how college is and how to prepare for college. These classes are held in the summer. I think Upward Bound is a good program. I like what this program provided for students who want to go to college. I am glad that we have this program.

The zoo section was my favorite site of the World Wide Web. I especially liked about it was the pictures that were there and the information it gave. The address of the site is http://www.spokane.net/cattales/.

This is a picture of the Kaaba. Once in a

person's life a Muslim has to visit the

holy city of Mecca and go to the Kaaba.

The three paragraphs below say that I am Muslim and the language I speak is Urdu. A Muslim practices the religion of Islam. Prayer is a very important thing in Islam and to me..

Religion

The leading religion of Pakistan is Islam, which is the faith of about 97 percent of the people. About four-fifths of the Muslims are Sunnite, and about one-fifth are Shiite. Hinduism and Christianity form the leading minority religions; other religious groups include the Sikhs, the Parsees, and a small number of Buddhists. The constitution defines Pakistan as an Islamic nation, but guarantees freedom of religion.

Languages

The official language of Pakistan is Urdu, but less than one-tenth of the people use it as their first language. Punjabi is spoken by about one-half of all households, and Pashto, Sindhi, Saraiki, and Baloch are also spoken by many people. In addition, English is extensively used by people in government, the military, and higher education. [1]

Prayer

The second duty is that of five daily prayers. The first prayer is offered before sunrise, the second in the very early afternoon, the third in the late afternoon, the fourth immediately after sunset, and the fifth before retiring and before midnight. In prayers, Muslims face the Kaaba, a small, cube-shaped structure in the courtyard of al-Haram (the “inviolate place”), the great mosque of Mecca. A single unit of prayer consists of a standing posture, then a genuflection followed by two prostrations, and finally a sitting posture. In each of these postures prescribed prayers and portions of the Koran are recited. [2]

INTERSTS /HOBBIES

I do not have many hobbies. One hobby that I have is that I like to cross stitch. Right now I am working on this one penguin that is eating a watermelon. I had just started it last week. I like to do cross stitching because it is relaxing to do.

This is a picture of a tiger. This is one This is a deer and is also an interesting

type of animal I am interested in. creature.

Something else that I am interested in is all the different types of animals there are. I like to look at different animals and see where they live, what they eat, and what type of animal they are. I think animals are all interesting and I want to know about them.
