What everyone looks forward to at the end of the day!
This summer there were 4 electives to choose from:
Ballroom, Eskrima,
Hip Hop Dance, & TTQ.
Eskrima, also
known as Arnis, is a Flipino martial art. Historically, Eskrima
was taught to men who then could protect their village.
Most of the fighting is performed with a variety of weapons,
striking the hands and feet, throwing, and biting. The most
common weapons used are one stick (solo baston) double
sticks (double baston), swords and daggers (espada y daga).
The curriculum that learned in the 5 week period consisted
of the 4 strikes, self defense, and the technique of sword/stick
fighting.

Origins
of Ballroom Dancing was first placed in England
during the 18th and 19th century. These dances known as balls
were major social events. Many types of ballroom

Hip
Hop Dance developed in New York. The four elements
of hiphop are: MCing, DJing, graffiti, and breakdancing. The
slang terms used in the hiphop culture soon became names of
dances (for example "rockin") and so hiphop dance
grew.

Trio
ThinkQuest or better known as TTQ was a
course to help students develop reseach, critical writing, thinking,
