: My friend Laverne who is living with pancreatic cancer. Despite her diagnosis and prognosis, she continues to be loving and thoughtful of others. Five years ago, she was told she had maybe 6 months to live but despite dire predictions, she has thrived and is doing well. She embodies hope, courage, and compassion.

If you were given the chance to steal a super hero’s power, what would it be?

Another difficult question. First choice: power to heal. Second choice: power to change shape (i.e., transform into an animal).

Weakness: if I became arrogant and used my powers only to benefit myself, I would lose my power.
