Teaching Practicum 3 - Teaching
through Literature You will be teaching a portion of one of the selections included in your score packet. Your task will be: 1. To plan a logical and
coherent series of lessons with your class colleagues (multiple class
members will teach the same piece on the same day);

La Réjouissance2. To identify the musical and technical challenges in the section you will teach; 3. To construct a rehearsal plan that includes attention to this new knowledge. For this lesson you will be expected to turn in a lesson plan. Follow the format that was introduced in MUSED 304 and MUSED 340. Objectives should be specific, student-centered and observable. Lessons will be 7 minutes in length. Some things to keep in mind: 1. All students should be engaged in musical (or music-related) activity for the majority of the lesson . . . aim for 80%.Remember, you are an ensemble member for your colleagues.
