PEDS 663 – Pediatric Clinical Clerkship – Mary Bridge – Tacoma, WA
Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital was established in 1955, through the perseverance of dedicated women of the Tacoma Orthopedic Association. They were convinced of the need for a specialized health care center in Tacoma. Key funding came from the estate of Dr. Albert W. Bridge, a pioneer physician who practiced in Eatonville and Tacoma, and the hospital was named for his mother. Today, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center is dedicated to caring for the special health needs of the children.

- MultiCare Health System Intake Form
- Provide .jpeg headshot for MHS ID student badge. Pictures must be professional in nature (no selfies) head & shoulders only, and with a plain color background.
- National Criminal Background Screen: covering previous 7-years: can be accessed here
- Current immunization records: can be requested from UW Hall Health
Housing
Housing is provided in Tacoma through the University of Washington. Please contact WWAMI to request.
Experience
Kareena Andreas will provide you information on where to report on your first day of your clerkship.
Each student will spend time on an outpatient rotation through our pediatric specialty clinics, private pediatric offices, and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
