PEDS 658 – Pediatric Clinical Clerkship – Boise, ID
Boise, the capital and largest city of the State of Idaho, is a wonderful city that combines all that one would want from a big city, with amazing access to the outdoors. Boise is home to Boise State University, the state’s largest university.
Located along the Boise River and nestled against foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boise offers many outdoor activities, from skiing at Bogus Basin Ski Resort to biking on the Boise River Greenbelt. The Boise area has it all – desert, rivers, mountains and lakes for hiking, kayaking, river rafting, hunting, and fishing.
The City of Trees boasts one-of-a-kind museums and urban parks. Among the many unique sites to visit are the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, Idaho Black History Museum, and the World Center for Birds of Prey.

Credentialing
Regional Office
You will be contacted by the Idaho Regional Office about required forms to complete and return 6-8 weeks before your rotation. If you have any questions regarding this process, contact Sarah Keshian.
Full Circle Health
You will receive site credentialing paperwork directly from Full Circle Health about 4-weeks prior to the start of your rotation. If you don’t receive the paperwork or have any questions about the materials or process, contact Kaye Nelson
St. Luke’s Medical Center
Student credentialing and onboarding for clerkships that rotate through the St. Luke’s Health System are now handled via myClinicalExchange, a web-based platform. The Idaho WWAMI office will add the rotation dates to myClinicalExchange, and the St. Luke’s Health System team will then approve the rotation and review any onboarding documents within that system.
There is a cost to create an account to use the program. Reimbursements can be requested following your rotation from GoWWAMI.
All scheduling will continue be completed through the UWSOM’s registrar’s office, do not make any changes to or requesting rotations in myClinicalExchange.
Housing
For this required clinical clerkship students will be contacted by the Idaho WWAMI office. Students are responsible for confirming whether they WILL or WILL NOT need to stay in the WWAMI medical student housing in a timely fashion. Prior to accessing the housing students are required to complete the necessary paperwork and provide a check for damage deposit.
Experience
Kaye Nelson will contact you about a week before your rotation with information regarding your orientation at Full Circle Health. This is the only orientation you will have; you will not have an orientation at St. Luke’s hospital.
