The details of the second writing assignment are now available. Please read the assignment, form working groups of 2-3 people, and submit your group members to me by the November 16.  A progress report is due November 21. The final report will be due December 3.

If you don't have a book, I have scanned this week's homework in. The resolution is not great but it will hold you over until the back orders arrive at the Bookstore. You will need your UW NetID and password to access it.

Please do so that I can enter everyone's grades online.

Additionally, I have opened a discussion board on Blackboard where you can look for partners for Writing Project #1. You are welcome to work with people from the other section if you want.

For those of you who still have the 5th edition of the book, I have scanned the diagonostic tests and posted links on the assignments page of this site. I won't do this for every assignment, but completing the diagonstics in a timely fashion is important to your success in this course and I don't want to stand in the way of success.

The room for the 2 pm class has successfully been changed to CP 106. This means that everyone who is interested in enrolling can be accomodated. Thanks for your patience. Remember to bring your paper work to class on Monday.

For all you nervous students hoping to get into the 2 pm class, I have requested a larger room and once it is officially assigned there will be space for everyone. So if you can be patient just a little longer, I will be sure that you are taken care of---at least this semester.
